Next Generation

Stronger performance. Greater efficiency.

In daily operation, it is the combination of improvements that makes the difference. This becomes clear in how machines deliver stronger performance in demanding terrain, consume less fuel and contribute to a more efficient working day – without requiring any change in the way you work.

Eleven Komatsu forwarder and harvester models have been updated to a new generation, where improvements to engines, transmissions, hydraulics and operator environment work together in daily operation.

“This is one of the most comprehensive updates we have made, with eleven machine models now taking the next step in development. It brings clear improvements across the range – in daily operation.”

More power – used more efficiently

New AP Core engine with higher output
Higher power and torque with lower fuel consumption. Delivers stronger performance and a lower cost per cubic metre.

Higher transport speed with the new transmission
A new generation of hydrostatic transmission with improved hydraulic motors paired with a stronger diesel engine increases transport speed with load in demanding terrain.

Stronger working hydraulics
A larger, more efficient working hydraulic pump with electronic power control increases crane performance, while enabling faster work cycles at lower rpm, thus reducing fuel consumption.

Komatsu 855 with stronger transmission
Komatsu 855 now delivers stronger pulling performance with increased tractive effort both for standard and XT transmission.

Configured to your operation

Flexible load capacity
Komatsu 855 and 875 can be configured with alternative load capacity. 855: 14 or 15 tonne, 875: 16 or 17 tonne. Making it easy to optimise the machine for different assignments.

New crane option: 165F for the 875
Komatsu 875 can now be equipped with the powerful 165F crane. A strong choice for handling heavy or long stems.

Komatsu service forwarder

Designed for easier service and higher uptime

Service made easy
An optional service platform, standard harness attachment points, and easy‑access test ports make maintenance safer and faster. A larger central greasing reservoir with quick‑coupling refill further simplifies service.

Easier crane service and improved reliability
Better access to hoses and pipes makes servicing faster and smoother. The stronger double telescope chain increases durability and reduces the risk of unplanned downtime.

A better working day

Operator environment improvements
New hydraulic ladder, larger platforms with a sturdy engine‑hood handrail for easier entry to the cab. Easily accessible toolbox close to the ladder.

Larger AdBlue tank for extended operation
A new, transparent AdBlue tank with an easy‑replace in‑line filter matches demand even when using the 500‑litre diesel tank available for Komatsu 895 and 898, enabling longer work shifts with fewer refuelling stops.

”The new machines have been upgraded for both higher performance and increased strength. At the same time, reduced fuel consumption is perhaps the most important improvement – with clear benefits for both emissions and operating costs.”

Harvesters - Selected highlights

More power – used more efficiently

New AP Core engine
The new AP Core engine delivers higher power and torque, boosting overall machine performance. At the same time, fuel consumption is reduced, lowering both operating costs and emissions. A reversible fan is available as an option.

New transmission with stronger driveline performance
A new hydrostatic transmission with larger pumps and improved motors maintains speed even at lower engine rpm. This delivers both lower fuel consumption and improved traction and travel speed in demanding terrain.

Lower fuel consumption – higher efficiency
Optimised oil flows and larger hose dimensions improve hydraulic efficiency, while leakage points across the crane have been reduced. Together, this results in lower fuel consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions in daily operation.

Configured for your operation

Two new cranes and one upgraded model
240H and 280H replace 230H and 270H, offering higher lifting capacity and improved geometry. In parallel, the 200H has been updated with several performance enhancements.

Additional crane enhancements
The 11 m option is now equipped with a single telescope design, providing higher net lifting capacity. In addition, the new 280H is available with 11 m reach, making it possible to use a larger harvester head at long reach.

Komatsu service harvester

Designed for easier service and higher uptime

Robust crane design for extended service life
Larger pins, reinforced bushings and upgraded cylinders make the cranes stronger and more durable. The 11 metre cranes also feature fewer components, contributing to increased service life.

Easier maintenance with fewer components
The cranes now consist of fewer parts, and several service tasks can be carried out without removing the telescope. The telescopic cylinder can also be removed from the rear, reducing downtime during more extensive maintenance work.

Service improvements
The new toolbox on the front frame is reinforced, sealed and easier to use. Central greasing can now be activated manually from ground level, simplifying both refilling and troubleshooting. Another new feature is an inline AdBlue filter, making replacement easier.

A better working day

Fine tune ramp settings for optimal control
Operators can adjust ramp curves for pumps and motors, providing better control during precision work and in varying conditions. An improved cruise control function also makes it easier to maintain the correct travel speed.

Improved operator environment
New LED lights beneath the windscreen and additional lights at the crane base improve visibility in the working area while options such as wireless charging, a new camera installation and an additional display create a more modern workplace. A new option for cab and crane swing damping is also available, reducing vibrations during start, stop and tree feeding.
